Escape the Grainger
Description
“Escape the Grainger” is a third-person, side-scrolling platformer game that challenges players to navigate increasingly difficult levels while overcoming a variety of obstacles. Players must dodge spikes, avoid fire pits, collect coins, and manage health to successfully escape.
The game features:
- Dynamic Gameplay: Players face obstacles like spikes and fire pits while collecting health packs and coins.
- Progressive Difficulty: Levels become more complex as players progress, requiring strategic thinking and quick reflexes.
- Checkpoint System: Saves player progress, allowing them to restart from the last checkpoint after losing health.

My Contributions
- Game Development:
- Created a third-person, side-scrolling platformer game using Unreal Engine, incorporating advanced mechanics such as health management, collectible items, and level-based progression.
- Designed and implemented interactive game levels using Blueprints in Unreal Engine 5 to enhance user engagement.
- Level Design:
- Designed challenging obstacle layouts and integrated dynamic elements to create progressively difficult levels.
- Developed and refined level mechanics, including collision detection and environmental hazards.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborated with a team of 5 to brainstorm ideas, divide development tasks, and integrate individual contributions into a cohesive gameplay experience.
- Conducted playtesting sessions to gather feedback and iterated on gameplay mechanics to improve player experience.
